Updated Floor Plans

After speaking with Eric this morning, I have revisited the floor plans. I wanted to post these really quick to get some feedback. Most of the changes have to do with the stairs, first floor and exhibit/lecture spaces- making the diagonal have a bigger role in the open spaces provided by the large trusses above.

From your plans, I am starting to be able to envision the manner in which the studio space interacts with the ground level.

The establishment of a strong column grid used to support the studios, really helps to effectively visualize the way in which the ground floor plays counter-point to the system above.

This is the first time I feel that your plans are as fully developed as your sectional massing. The three studio spaces have always been so dominant in your project (and they should be - no complaints there), but it's good to see the development elsewhere.

Even though you have taken measures to cut back the loggia at the entrance this area feels a little tight, and sort of hidden away beneath the loggia.

It would be nice if the loggia could open up at the ground level a little more than it is presently to allow a pedestrian connection to the buildings across the street.

The second floor is a little confusing, I know that the walls which block off the corridor are really x-bracing of the trusses, but in plan it's not quite reading correctly.

The lounge on the third floor seems like it doesn't know what it wants to relate to, sort of some leftover space, could some of the 4th floor be peeled back to allow light and views to filter down from above?
